How To Build Muscle Mass With This Simple Technique!

Want to know how to build muscle mass quickly and easily? Start snacking late at night!

You can reverse overnight catabolic muscle-wasting and head into positive nitrogen balance by consuming a small, protein-rich snack before bed.

You don't want to consume a huge, high calorie meal before going to bed. This excess of calories could put you over your daily needs and could cause the storage of body fat.

You want a small, protein-dense snack that is just enough to supply your body with protein during this critical time.

Protein and only protein gives your muscle cells the nitrogen they need. So you need to make sure you're getting enough protein in your diet throughout the day, and especially at night, before you go to sleep for 8 hours. And a simple way you can ensure you're in an anabolic state while you're sleeping is to eat a snack before retiring for the night.

Years ago, elite bodybuilders would set their alarm clocks for 2:00 a.m. and get up to eat a turkey sandwich and glass of milk. After just weeks of doing this, even the hardest of hardgainers would begin to gain muscle mass.

By snacking late at night, bodybuilders were topping up their amino acids pools and providing fuel for their liver for nightly gluconeogenesis. In other words, they were staying in a postive nitrogen balance and maintaining lean muscle tissue.

That's really how to build muscle mass... you supply your body the raw materials it needs to build muscle. And those raw materials are called amino acids and are derived from protein.

And before dawn, you start losing precious muscle tissue. Your body starts to break this muscle tissue down for a fuel source.

It's just like if you were to go throughout the day, while awake, and not eat something for 8 hours. You couldn't imagine doing that, but that's exactly what's happening when you go to sleep. You're not eating for hours.

And that can have a drastic, negative effect on your ability to build muscle mass.

So, just this one simple tip of snacking late at night will help promote muscle mass growth more so than just about anything else you do.

Now, you don't need to prepare a gourmet meal or snack at this time of night. You can make a simple protein shake before retiring. Mix a couple scoops of your favorite protein powder with some milk, low fat yogurt, or non-fat frozen yogurt. You can eat this right before bed or you can set it in the fridge and eat it if you usually wake up in the middle of the night.

You can also use meal replacements for this purpose.

Open up a packet of your favorite meal replacement and put it in a bowl. Pour just enough milk into it so that you can mix it up into a creamy pudding. Eat and enjoy.

So eating a small, high protein snack is a very simple yet effective thing you can do before bed that will ensure you stay in an anabolic, muscle-building state thoughout the night.
